One Month Old!!

 5 weeks
My crazy hair

Leyton is one month old!  Yay!  She was a whopping 9lbs 12 ounces and 21 3/4 inches at her one month visit.  She is just so sweet and we love her like crazy.  She smiles more and more everyday and loves to be held.  We have the hardest time getting things done because she likes to snuggle so much.  We say she has a case of the "hold me's".She will be asleep in your arms and when we try and lay her down, her eyes pop open like she hasn't been asleep at all.

Bath time is still fun.  She is so good and she kicks her legs and smiles.  The picture above is right after I've washed her hair.  It sticks straight up and it's hilarious!  We love it!  We've been trying to take her out and about more often to get her use to it.  She screams when put her in her carseat until we get moving.  When we start moving, she's goes to sleep.  We've also introduced her to the bottle and she's done great.  Only refused it twice.

Gas has entered her world as well.  I feel so bad for her and it seems that Mylicon will be a part of her diet for a little while.  She loves to be held up high on your shoulder so she can look around.  She has been doing really well in church.  We can't seem to time it right and she always needs to be fed during the service.  So far, no crying.

Happy 1st Easter Leyton!!!

My bib says "Jesus Loves Me"

This is one of my baby dresses and it has a rabbit on it :)

We actually made it to church Easter Sunday only a few minutes late.  Ryan and I are still working on our timing of getting ourselves ready along with Leyton.  It seems to take us forever.  She did so good in church.  She sleep through most of the service and only opened her eyes and looked around a few times.  She looked so sweet in her little Easter dress!!!  She didn't even spit up on it either which is miracle in itself :)

You are Everything

I'm the one with two left feet standing on a lonely street
I can't even walk a straight line
And everytime you look at me I'm spinning like an autumn leaf
Bound to hit bottom some time

Where would I be without someone to save me?
Someone who won't let me fall?

You are everything that I live for
Everything that I can't believe is happening
You're standing right in front of me with arms wide open
All I know is everyday is filled with hope

Cause you're everything that I breathe for
And I can't help but breathe you in
and breathe again feeling all this life within
Every single beat of my heart

I'm the one with big mistakes, big regrets and bigger breaks
than I'd ever care to confess
Oh, but You're the one that looks at me and sees what I was meant to be
more than just a beautiful mess

Oh, where would I be without someone to save me
Someone who won't let me fall?

You're everything good in my life
Everything honest and true
And all of those stars hanging up in the sky
could never shine brighter than You

You are, oh You are
Jesus, You are
You are everything

3 Weeks old

Here's Leyton at 3 weeks old.  She is so much more alert and active.

Sleeping on Daddy's chest.  She loves this!!!
She has started smiling a lot and loves to be talked to.  She acts like she would give anything to be able to talk back to you.  She has a playmat that her Grandma June gave her and she coos at the toys hanging and kicks her legs.  She only likes it for about 20 mins and then she's done.  She reaches up and swats at some of the toys.  We have been really surprised that she even cares about it.  Music seems to calm her when she's fussy.

Bath time has become a lot more fun.  Except for when she had a huge blow-out as soon as I put her in there a few nights ago.  I honestly just stared at it for a minute not sure where to begin.  It was quite funny.  She loves the hairdryer.  I lay her on a towel and blow dry her hair and body after a bath.  As you can see, Cooper enjoys it as well.

Cooper hasn't seemed to mind her much.  He just likes to sit with you if you're holding her or feeding her.  Almost as if he's protecting her.  She is such a sweet baby and we love watching her and can't believe how much she changes everyday.

2 weeks old

Here's Leyton at two weeks old.  She focuses on you when you talk to her and seems to be interested in what you are saying.  She is a great baby.  She only cries when she needs to be changed, fed, or has a little gas.  We have discovered that she really hates having a dirty diaper.  There is no telling how many diapers we go through in a day because of this.  If she pees even a little bit, she cries.  It's quite funny.  We love every second of keeping her comfortable and fed.

She gets up every two hours to eat at night and then goes right back to sleep.  She loves to be held and snuggling to her is so wonderful.  We've also discovered her love of music.  When music plays, she gets really quite and looks around.  She is precious and sweet and gets tons of kisses everyday.  We are so thankful God let us be her parents.

First Cousin Visit

 Aunt Melissa holding Jack
Uncle Ryan holding Jack
 Uncle Derek holding Leyton
 Aunt Ann holding Leyton
 So sweet :)
 Okay, we've had enough

Here are some pictures of the first cousin visit. Leyton and Jack Gee are 1 week old here.  It's the first time we have been able to get the two together for pictures.  There were able to fit in the boppy and and took tons of pictures of them.  The last one makes me laugh because they were done having their pictures taken.  We can't wait until they are running around playing together and getting into lots of trouble :)

One Week Old

I smile sometimes even when it may be a little gas :)

Here is our little sweet pea at one week old.  Of course, we are completely sleep deprived but loving every second of it. We stare at her all the time and can't believe that she is ours.  We've had lots of visitors and Ryan's mom has been staying with us to help out.  She sleeps in her pack-n-play in our bedroom and has been doing so good in there.  We do hold her all the time.  We just can't help it.  She sleeps a lot and only cries when she's hungry, needs her diaper changed, or has a little gas.  We gave her her first bath and she screamed like crazy.  Ryan and I were so stressed and we were trying to be so careful with her.  It was more of a sponge bath since she still has her umbilical cord.  But, we all survived it :) God has truly blessed with the sweetest baby.
