Daddy loves State, Mommy loves ECU
More cereal please
Good Morning
Hey there
Playing in my exersaucer
Sweet Baby Leyton is four months old. We can't believe it. Time is flying by and she is growing so fast! She had her four month shots and we all did a little better this time. I think Ryan was more upset with this set. It breaks our hearts that she doesn't understand what is happening. Here are baby girl's stats: 14 lbs 12 ounces and 24.5 inches long (75th percentile for both). She has grown 2 inches in length and gained 2 lbs 12 ounces. Growing like a weed.
We gave Leyton cereal for the first time a few days ago and she seemed to like it. She spit out the first 10 or so spoonfuls and then she started grabbing the spoon and pulling it to her mouth. She still likes to stand up with assistance all the time. She rolls over with ease and has recently started pulling her knees under her and attempting to crawl. She's not strong enough yet but she wants to real bad. Especially if you place a toy just out of reach for her. And, don't put anything in her reach or she will grab it and hold it strong. My hair stays up and out of her hands because she will not let go.
Grandma June will be coming to visit soon and we are getting excited. We think Grandma is going to be so surprised at how much Leyton has changed. Leyton will have lots of grins and laughs to share.
We celebrated my birthday this past Friday. Leyton was 17 weeks old and her and Daddy gave me the sweetest picture frame. I want to share what it says because it brought me to tears. I definitely felt lots of love.
Mother's Heart
I loved you from the very start, you stole my breath, embraced my heart.
Our life together has just begun, you're part of me my little one.
As mother with child, each day I grew, my mind was filled with thoughts of you.
I'd daydream of the things we'd share, like late-night bottles and teddy bears.
Like first steps and skinned knees, like bedtime stories and ABCs.
I thought of things you'd want to know, like how birds fly and flowers grow.
I thought of lessons I'd need to share, like standing tall and playing fair.
When I first saw your precious face, I prayed your life be touched with grace.
I thanked the angels from above, and promised you unending love.
Each night I lay you down to sleep, I gently kiss your head and cheek.
I count your little fingers and toes, I memorize your eyes and nose.
I linger at your nursery door, awed each day I love you more.
Through misty eyes, I dim the light, I whisper, "I love you" every night.
I loved you from the very start, you stole my breath, embraced my heart.
As mother and child our journey's begun, my heart's yours forever little one.
