3 Weeks old

Here's Leyton at 3 weeks old.  She is so much more alert and active.

Sleeping on Daddy's chest.  She loves this!!!
She has started smiling a lot and loves to be talked to.  She acts like she would give anything to be able to talk back to you.  She has a playmat that her Grandma June gave her and she coos at the toys hanging and kicks her legs.  She only likes it for about 20 mins and then she's done.  She reaches up and swats at some of the toys.  We have been really surprised that she even cares about it.  Music seems to calm her when she's fussy.

Bath time has become a lot more fun.  Except for when she had a huge blow-out as soon as I put her in there a few nights ago.  I honestly just stared at it for a minute not sure where to begin.  It was quite funny.  She loves the hairdryer.  I lay her on a towel and blow dry her hair and body after a bath.  As you can see, Cooper enjoys it as well.

Cooper hasn't seemed to mind her much.  He just likes to sit with you if you're holding her or feeding her.  Almost as if he's protecting her.  She is such a sweet baby and we love watching her and can't believe how much she changes everyday.

2 weeks old

Here's Leyton at two weeks old.  She focuses on you when you talk to her and seems to be interested in what you are saying.  She is a great baby.  She only cries when she needs to be changed, fed, or has a little gas.  We have discovered that she really hates having a dirty diaper.  There is no telling how many diapers we go through in a day because of this.  If she pees even a little bit, she cries.  It's quite funny.  We love every second of keeping her comfortable and fed.

She gets up every two hours to eat at night and then goes right back to sleep.  She loves to be held and snuggling to her is so wonderful.  We've also discovered her love of music.  When music plays, she gets really quite and looks around.  She is precious and sweet and gets tons of kisses everyday.  We are so thankful God let us be her parents.

First Cousin Visit

 Aunt Melissa holding Jack
Uncle Ryan holding Jack
 Uncle Derek holding Leyton
 Aunt Ann holding Leyton
 So sweet :)
 Okay, we've had enough

Here are some pictures of the first cousin visit. Leyton and Jack Gee are 1 week old here.  It's the first time we have been able to get the two together for pictures.  There were able to fit in the boppy and and took tons of pictures of them.  The last one makes me laugh because they were done having their pictures taken.  We can't wait until they are running around playing together and getting into lots of trouble :)

One Week Old

I smile sometimes even when it may be a little gas :)

Here is our little sweet pea at one week old.  Of course, we are completely sleep deprived but loving every second of it. We stare at her all the time and can't believe that she is ours.  We've had lots of visitors and Ryan's mom has been staying with us to help out.  She sleeps in her pack-n-play in our bedroom and has been doing so good in there.  We do hold her all the time.  We just can't help it.  She sleeps a lot and only cries when she's hungry, needs her diaper changed, or has a little gas.  We gave her her first bath and she screamed like crazy.  Ryan and I were so stressed and we were trying to be so careful with her.  It was more of a sponge bath since she still has her umbilical cord.  But, we all survived it :) God has truly blessed with the sweetest baby.

Going Home

 Grandma holding me
 Sleeping on Daddy's chest
My coming home outfit that was really big on me.  :)

Ryan and I were able to take Leyton home the next day, thank goodness!!!  We were so stir-crazy in that small room and had constant interruptions.  We were ready to get out of the hospital!  Leyton was able to leave 24 hours after her birth and we headed straight home.  She did great in her first ride in the car and slept the whole way home.

Happy Birthday Leyton Ann Weaver

Here we are, awaiting the arrival of our little one.  We got to the hospital around 5:30am for our scheduled induction.  We learned when we got to the hospital that Ann and Derek were already here.  Ann's water broke the night before and she was in labor.  God had a plan that these little cousins were going to arrive on the same day no matter what was scheduled.

After the IV was in, epidural was in, Pitocin was started, we just waited for action.  I was fully dilated around 1:30pm and was ready to push.
Leyton Ann Weaver was born at 2:35 pm weighing 7 pounds 3.9 ounces and 19.5 inches long.  Here is our first glimpse of our little angel.

Proud parents and very much in love!!!
Daddy is cutting the cord.

Daddy is in love with his baby girl.  I'm sure he was already talking to her about future fishing trips and softball. :)

Our life and our love.  A precious childhood friend, Wendy Rogers, left a beautiful quote on my facebook page..."Making the decision to have a child is momentous.  It is to decide to forever have your heart go walking around outside your body."  Thank you, Wendy for this.  It brings tears to my eyes.  And a quote from Daddy " Everytime I look at her I want to cry.  She's just so beautiful. "

Thank you to everyone for all the prayers to bring this baby girl to us.  Please continue to pray for us as we continue our adventure known as parenthood. Much love to you all!

Final pregnancy days

 40.3 weeks
39 weeks

These are the final pregnancy pictures for Baby Weaver. Our little one is being quite stubborn and is deciding to be fashionably late.  Along with needing a little push, so we are scheduled for an induction tomorrow and we will finally get to meet our precious bundle of joy.  We are so excited.  There are many prayers for a healthy baby and normal, uneventful delivery.  Everything has progressed wonderfully throughout this pregnancy and I am very thankful.  This little one just seems to be very comfortable in my belly.

Another very special event will also be happening on Baby Weaver's birthday.  Baby Sanderson is also scheduled to arrive as well.  We have joked the whole time during both pregnancies "wouldn't it be funny if they came on the same day????"  Well, God has planned it that way the whole time.  Derek will become a daddy and an uncle and I will become a mom and an aunt on the same day.  The Sanderson's, Gee's, and Weaver's will all be at the hospital tomorrow awaiting the arrival of the little cousins.

So, I'm enjoying one day off before tomorrow.  Mom and I are going for lunch and pedicures and Ryan and I will have a quiet date alone this evening.  It's so crazy to think that it will no longer be just us.  I can't complain at all about this pregnancy.  The times when the heartburn is fierce, I feel like I'm going to pee in my pants, or when the very uncomfortable braxton hicks contractions occur...it's all easily forgotton when I feel this precisous baby kicking away in my belly.  This baby kicks all the time and we laugh watching my belly move into funny shapes or when we see a foot poke out.

Please pray for both of the babies, moms, dads, and families as we welcome these wonderful gifts into the world tomorrow!!!  Our hearts are filled with love and joy and we can't wait to meet these sweet little babies!

Baby Weaver's Nursery & Update

We finally have some pictures of Baby Weaver's nursery.   We put the final touches on the nursery right before the shower.  It is so cute and we love it!!!!

I had midwife visit this past week that went really well.  They checked to see if anything was progressing and I am 1cm dilated, 75% effaced and at 0 station.  She doesn't seem to think that I will go over my due date and may go a little early.  We will have to see.  I am now starting my weekly visits.

Baby Weaver is still VERY active!  My belly is constantly moving all around and the baby kicks a lot.  Baby Weaver seems to be enjoying his/her environment just fine for the time being.  As for me, I am feeling a lot more tired and nauseous.  The afternoon naps have returned in full force.  I actually went to bed at 8pm most of the week this past week.

Ryan and I went to a baby care class and breast feeding class this past week as well.  We wasn't going with me to the breast feeding class, but once we got there and all the other mom's had their husbands with them he was trapped :) It was quite funny.  I'm not sure if the baby care class helped Ryan or made him more anxious.  He was so nervous after we left the class.  I couldn't help but laugh.

As advised by the class and midwife, we have packed our bag and the carseat is in the car.  All we have to do is have it inspected.  We have one more shower from our church and then we will patiently wait for Baby Weaver's arrival.  Thank you everyone for all of your thoughts and prayers throughout this pregnancy.  Please keep them coming!!!

Baby Shower

Here are some pictures from our first baby shower.  We received a lot of great gifts for Baby Weaver.  A lot of friends and family came and they were also able to see the nursery and our house.  We had a wonderful time and appreciate all the thoughtfulness and love from all of our friends and family.  We know the Baby Weaver will receive a lot of love from all of these special people.

The wonderful friends who planned such a beautiful shower.  We love you and thank you so much!!!  Sorry we missed you Danielle.

belly pics

So I'm definitely way behind on blogging.  I've been so tired since that I have just been coming home and lying down.  Here are some belly pictures that are a little older.  The top picture is 27 weeks and the bottom picture is 33 weeks.  Obviously a lot of growing went on during that time, because those are Ryan's pajama bottoms that I'm having to wear.  :)  None of mine fit anymore.

Jingle Bellies

Here is a picture of the Christmas bellies.  The babies got Christmas presents this year, too!  March can't come soon enough!

I got the results of my glucose screen a couple of days before Christmas.  I was worried that I may not do well on this test, so I had mom make my favorite Christmas candy a few weeks before Christmas.  I love Martha Washington balls!!!  So, I was able to enjoy them before my test.  Drinking that sugary flat sunkist-tasting stuff was disgusting.  I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to keep it down, so I had to chase it with crackers.  It was awful.  Thank goodness I don't have to repeat the test because it came back normal.  YAY!

Ann gave me a really great Christmas present this year.  She gave me a maternity pillow.  It may sound weird, but that has been the best comfort for me trying to sleep with a fast growing belly.  I feel like within just the past few weeks, my stomach has really started to stick out.  Family and friends and even coworkers are making comments about the baby belly.  And my sweet husband gave me a pair of UGG boots.  They feel so wonderful on my feet!  I wear them all the time.  My feet aren't swelling bad, but after being on them all day at work they are definitely not their normal size.

Ann and I are continuing to feel good throughout our pregnancies and everything is going very well so far.  We just can't wait to meet these little ones!

Tis the Season

Merry Christmas from the Weavers!!!!  We only took this picture about 30 times.  I can only imagine how it's going to be next Christmas with a baby to include.  :)
